Building Africa’s future through sport
Home / About / Strategy & governance
Five pillars that guide how we grow the game, build institutions and change young lives across Africa.
SStrong Institutions
Sound governance, transparent reporting and sustainable funding; a shared calendar and register with the NFAF; school, campus and community leagues that run every season.
CCapacity Building & Awareness
A licensed, paid career path for coaches, referees and teacher-coaches, from Level 1 to Level 2; online learning through Nabu Sports, targeting 20,000+ enrolled coaches and officials by 2031.
AAthletes’ Growth & Development
A clear pathway from the U-13 Invitational through the NSSFFL and NCFFL to club and community play, with a development plan for every athlete.
LLeadership & Youth Education
Literacy through sport, built on the Jojo and the Winning Play storybook; scholarships; and the HuddleWay Leaders Council for young leaders aged 20–30.
EEquity: Girls & Women
Girls and women playing, coaching, officiating and leading at every stage, through Gridiron Gems, the GEMS Mentors Circle and a growing register of women coaches and officials.
The Foundation is overseen by a Board of Trustees, advised by a Board of Advisors, and supported by Ambassadors, the GEMS Mentors Circle and the HuddleWay Leaders Council.
Every program follows our safeguarding policy.
